Description
Wild Yam root
Extracted in a minimum of 35% alcohol
*Do not use if pregnant
Although this plant contains a chemical that can be converted to progesterone, this conversion can only occur in the laboratory, not in the human body. Therefore, its reputation as a female hormone regulator is questionable when taken orally.
Wild yam promotes an anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory response that may be useful in treating diverticulitis, painful menstrual periods, ovarian and uterine pain, and rheumatoid arthritis.
