*Do not use if pregnant, with kidney or liver disease or with high blood pressure.
Licorice has a chemical composition similar to the body’s natural steroids, thus making it beneficial in the treatment of any condition of the adrenal glands. For respiratory ailments it has been reported to be as effective as codeine for cough suppression. It is also used in treating peptic ulcers, gastritis, and abdominal colic.
